  4.     Ok. This file is for you that don't bother to read
  5.     thru the whole doc-file before you start. To use
  6.     plug-ins do the following:
  7.

  9. 1.    Unpack the whole archive. You don't need to make a
  10.     directory first. Just unpack it to your music-directory,
  11.     or something. (Well, I suppose you have allready done
  12.     this since you are reading this.)
  13.  
  14. 2. Insert the following lines into your user-startup file:
  15.

  18. makedir ram:NSM
  19. assign NSM: "ram:NSM"
  20. Run >NIL: dh2:nsm/nsmport/nsmport
  21. copy dh2:nsm/plug-ins/#?/~(#?.#?|SCOPTIONS) nsm:

  24. Change "dh2:" to the path you unpacked the archive.

  27. 3. Run the following program:
  28. dh2:nsm/patch/octapatch dh2:octany/octamed
  29.  
  30. Change "dh2:" to the path you unpacked the archive.
  31. Change "dh2:octany/octamed" to the path where the octamed
  32. soundstudio 1.03c binary-file is placed on your hd. (or disc.)
  33. (This should be a safe patch, but please do take a copy of
  34. your old binary if you feel for it.)

  36. 4. Reset your amiga.
  37.  
  38. 5. Start octamed. Go to the settings-menu, and choose
  39. "Keyboard Shortcuts". Add your plug-ins the same way
  40. as with your old arexx-scripts, except that instead of
  41. choosing "Execute Arexx-file" in the Action-box, choose
  42. "Launch Program" instead. To find out which plug-ins
  43. you have; start shell and write "list nsm:".

  46. That should be it. If you have problems, read the
  47. doc-file.
